Hi doll babies! My name is Micala. My mama suggested I put all my golden thoughts out for the world to see, and when Mama says jump I say how high. I want to tell y’all a little bit about myself to begin!
I am about to graduate with a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and with that I plan to be a private practice therapist. I am also a newlywed military spouse (double whammy there, I know). I moved from all I’ve ever known with my now husband to Savannah, Georgia just a few short months ago. I’m a mom to two poochies – Billy and Rebel who have my heart so hard that I have them tattooed on my arm (much to my old-fashioned father’s dismay). Lastly but most importantly, I am a God-fearing, born again daughter of the Savior. These are the beautiful places that I find my identity as much as I can in my mid-twenties.
Like the tune states, the south is where I was born and where I will die. My roots run deep in the southeast which is apparent by my style and heavy drawl. You see, the definition of ballad according to Google is “a song or poem that tells a story, often a dramatic or romantic one.” While my thoughts, stories, and heart have a hint of romance, I can guarantee that this is a journey that will surely reign as a dramatic one!
What I hope for the future is that you, reader, may get some advice, feel less alone, and/or find great entertainment in the things I might have to say. This is all our first time living – best to share this experience with each other through joy, grace, and the beautiful world of the interwebs.
Talk to y’all next time!
