First and foremost, Happy Thanksgiving! If you’re like us, you’ve already set up that Christmas tree and the lights are on unless you’re asleep. Mine’s been up for some time now since Andrew and I put it up together. Now that I’m a gRoWn uP, I can choose when to enjoy my decorations which is as early as possible!
You’ve already heard about why this particular set of holidays are going to be hard for me, but what a privilege it is to have SO much to be thankful for. My support system has really shown its true colors, and I cannot express how precious they are to me! Although he’s far, how wonderful it is to have a husband that I miss so much. My dogs are the reason I wake up every morning – they raise cane until I let them out to potty.
I am so happy to be spending some time at home in Troy for Thanksgiving, and I will again during Christmas. There is nothing quite like waking up to fresh air in the middle of nowhere, and horses in the pasture outside of my window. In my time of sorrow, my family and critters are just what the doctor ordered!
This holiday season, gratefulness, happiness, and joy will be at the front of my mind. During one of the hardest holidays of my life, I will remain steadfast in the work of the Lord just as 1 Corinthians 15:58 says.
Y’all have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Til next time… Peace and blessings. Ttyl π
